The Evanston Edge is an independent news site covering Evanston, Illinois, and the North Shore towns around it. We write about the things people here talk about at the bus stop and the school pickup line: what the City Council decided, which storefront on Main Street is changing hands, how a property tax bill is put together, where to eat on Central Street, and the people from this city who built something worth knowing about.
The site is not affiliated with the City of Evanston, its departments, or any government body. Nobody at City Hall reviews or approves what we publish.
