This policy covers evanstonedge.com. We keep data collection to a minimum.
What we collect
Like most websites, our server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) to keep the site running and secure. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which stories are read; it sets cookies and collects information about your device and how you use the site. Google’s use of that data is governed by its own privacy policy.
If you email us, we keep your message and address so we can reply and, for tips, follow up. We don’t sell or rent email addresses.
The site has no reader accounts and does not take comments, so we hold no passwords or profiles for readers.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers an opt-out add-on for Analytics. To ask what we hold about you, or to have an email deleted, write to editor@evanstonedge.com.
Children
The site is meant for a general adult audience and does not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page.
