Editor
Margaret Whitfield is the editor of The Evanston Edge. She assigns and edits the site’s coverage and reads every story before it is published.
Her own reporting focuses on how Evanston is governed and how it is changing physically: City Council and committee meetings, the budget calendar, zoning and planning cases, large development proposals, and the character of individual neighborhoods from the Northeast Evanston lakefront to the West End and Howard Street.
She is the person to write to about corrections, the editorial policy, or anything you think the site has gotten wrong. She also handles questions about the older archive pieces kept on the site.
Beat: local government, development and land use, neighborhoods. Contact: editor@evanstonedge.com.
